Privacy policy

This policy covers SpaCityTV APP, operated by SpaCityTV, public programming viewed through the app and spacitytv.com, its publisher portal at spacitytv.com/publish and its app support form at spacitytv.com/app/support.

Your camera stays on your device

The app uses the camera to recognize participating images and align videos. Image recognition happens on your device. SpaCityTV APP does not send camera frames to us, record your camera feed or access your microphone, photo library or contacts. You can revoke camera permission in device Settings.

Channels and downloads

You do not need a viewer account. The app downloads channel information, reference images and videos over the internet. It keeps your selected channel and downloaded content on your device. Removing the app removes its local data.

Watching public programming

The Watch area loads public SpaCityTV pages and videos over the internet without requiring camera access or a SpaCityTV viewer account. Some videos are delivered from our website; others use embedded Facebook or Cloudflare Stream players. Opening a page containing an embedded player connects your device to that provider, even before you press Play. Requests disclose your network address, the requested player or video, browser or device software information and the SpaCityTV website origin. Playback and interaction can send further requests to the provider.

The iPhone app's built-in viewing area uses temporary website storage instead of saving that viewing session's website data persistently on the device. This does not prevent SpaCityTV, its hosting providers or a video provider from receiving and retaining information on their servers. It is separate from downloaded scanner content.

Video providers may use cookies or similar technologies according to their policies and the restrictions and choices on your device. If you choose to open a provider's own website, that page uses its own browser session and privacy practices; the built-in viewing area's temporary storage does not govern that separate session. A provider may offer its own sign-in and privacy controls. SpaCityTV does not receive your provider password. Read the Meta privacy policy and Cloudflare privacy policy for the embedded services.

Network information and service diagnostics

Our hosting providers retain operational records that can include your IP address, country-level network information, browser or device software information, requested resources, response status, errors and request-processing times. We and our providers use this information to deliver and protect the service, investigate problems and maintain performance. These records can be associated with a network address even when you do not have a viewer account. Country information comes from your internet connection; SpaCityTV APP does not request GPS or precise device location.

Our website's hosting service also measures page views and unique visitors to help us understand website use. Viewing SpaCityTV pages inside the app makes website requests as well. Hosting records and traffic statistics follow the providers' retention policies. SpaCityTV does not request your device's advertising identifier, combine our service records with other companies' data for targeted advertising, or sell your personal information. Embedded video providers handle information under their own policies as described above.

Contacting support

If you choose to use the support form, we collect your email address, message, topic and optional name, along with the time and reference number of your request. These details are stored in our private support inbox and used to answer your request, fix reported problems and prevent abuse. They are not displayed publicly or used for advertising.

Support messages are kept until they are no longer needed to handle your request and related follow-up, or you ask us to delete them. Only authorized administrators can read and remove requests. Hosting and email providers process information as needed to store a request or deliver a reply; their operational records and backups follow their own retention policies.

Publisher accounts and subscriptions

Publishers sign in with ChatGPT. We receive the account identifier and email address, and store the submitted business name, requested plan, subscription access dates and payment references used to verify access. We also store publisher uploads, experience details, review notes and records of account and content approvals. These are available to the publisher and authorized SpaCityTV administrators. Submitted content and its contact buttons become available to app viewers only after SpaCityTV approves and releases it; there is no public trigger-image gallery.

Toast handles subscription enrollment, payment details and recurring billing when enrollment is available. SpaCityTV does not collect or store card numbers in the publisher portal. SpaCityTV verifies payments in Toast before granting a paid access period. A publisher account request does not take payment. Toast has its own privacy policy and account controls.

We retain publisher information and uploads to operate the account, review content, maintain payment and approval records and handle support. You may remove unused uploads through the portal and request account closure or deletion through support. Some transaction, audit and backup records may be retained where needed for recordkeeping or to resolve a dispute. Previously downloaded app content may remain on viewers’ devices after access ends.

Business links and directions

Call, email, website and directions buttons open other apps or websites only when you choose them. A destination address is passed to Google Maps for directions. SpaCityTV APP does not request your location; any location permission you grant to a maps app is handled by that app. Those services have their own privacy policies.

Your choices

You can use the scanner without submitting a support request. To ask about your information, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern, use the support form and choose “Privacy or deletion.” Include your request reference if you have one. We may need to verify that you control the email address before disclosing or changing personal information.
